DIY Style File ~ blue-green shells & starfish centerpiece
Beach themed weddings are really popular here in south Florida. I just finished a wedding here for one of our destination brides who wanted an elegant look for her reception while still incorporating seashells. She'd already purchased these large glass containers and it was up to me to do something other than the typical sand and seashell theme. I decided to create something around her white starfish motif and added pearls for an elegant touch.
This simple centerpiece consists of a vase ($10), glass beads in the wedding colors ($4), large shells and starfish ($3 ea.), pearls ($2 per spool), LED light under the beads for a pretty glow at night ($4). Total cost: $30.
We added some small floral accents and candles around it to create the final look.
