Thank you to all of the brides who stopped by our bridal show booth at Indian Riverside Park this past Sunday. It was great to meet all of you! I'm looking forward to chatting with those who have booked initial consultations with me since the show. ~ Christine
Our display, named "Dinner at Tiffany's", received so much attention that I thought I'd share some pictures and insight as to how it was designed. It's always such a challenge to do a great booth because we really don't have much space to work with. Usually, we're given a 6' rectangular table and two plastic chairs. Well, everyone who knows me knows how creative I like to be and how detail oriented I am and...that set up just won't do! So, I took the same space, but, used it differently. I wanted you to be able to walk into what I do as a planner and as a designer.
When I'm designing and planning a wedding for a couple, I look for an inspiration...an idea, a theme or color scheme to pull from. My inspiration for this booth was the movie classic, "Breakfast at Tiffany's." In the opening scene, Audrey Hepburn is in a gorgeous black gown and pearls and is looking in the window of the famous jewelry store in New York City. There's a crystal chandelier in the window. I couldn't hang a chandelier, so, I decided to create the effect in my centerpiece. The color scheme was taken from her dress and pearls and was accented by...tiffany blue, of course! (This is actually the color of the gift boxes the jewelry store uses.)
The beautiful linens were provided by BBJ Linen (Thanks Jenn & Michael!), including table cloths, overlays, napkins, matching chair ties and seat cushion covers. The dinnerware and furniture rentals were provided by Eventmakers International (Thanks Dana!). The floral topper to my crystal base was created by A Goode Florist (Thanks Kelly!).

What bride doesn't love a little "bling?" In keeping with the jewelry store accents, these diamond napkin "rings" were the perfect touch and a huge hit with everyone who came by. We (Dreamday Celebrations) provided the favor boxes and table signs.
