Jamie & Reid's Wedding at the Santa Lucia Club at Ballantrae

After an amazing surprise marriage proposal captured on video, and a year and a half of wedding planning, Jami and Reid's wedding turned out beautiful!  The outdoor ceremony and indoor reception took place at the Santa Lucia Club at Ballantrae in Port St. Lucie.  The bride and groom had origianlly wanted an outdoor tented reception, but with the unpredictable Florida weather, they opted for an indoor location with great waterfront and garden views.  We brought the outdoors inside with a lush tropical design for the main dining room of Ballantrae.  Thank you to all of the talented vendors involved with producing this event flawlessly, several of whom are highlighted in the video below. Special thanks to Michael and Josephine- Michael Todd Lee Photography for creating this fantastic video of the details.  We hope you'll enjoy it!

Dreamday Real Wedding, Naomi & Angel at Tradition Town Hall

You've met Naomi and Angel before, during one of their planning visits, in a post I did earlier last year about the destination wedding planning experience.  Well, here is a video showing off the final product of their wonderful wedding reception decor at Tradition Town Hall in Port St. Lucie.  This couple was fun and fabulous, and so was there wedding!  I was honored to be part of their dream day.  Thank you to Reinhardt Productions for this video.

Dreamday Real Wedding: Candice & Michael

I had the pleasure of designing and planning Candice and Michael's Florida destination wedding here in the Treasure Coast earllier this year.  After a full year of detailed planning, their outdoor ceremony and poolside reception took place at a private residence.  Severe weather kept us from the cocktail hour entertainment that had been planned to take place on the sprawling riverfront lawn, but we were able to switch gears quickly and transform the poolside ceremony area into an elegant tropical setting for dining and dancing.

Here are some of my favorite pictures of the couple and of the event details after the storm had passed...

 

The bride's love of orchids was the inspiration for the wedding theme and this incredible cake created by A Piece of Cake by Elena.  Hand-strung orchids and crystals were suspended over the cake, under its very own gazebo.

 

Orchids were everywhere, carrying out the green and yellow color scheme.  These chair back swags were made of fresh ginger leaves and orchids by Harbour Bay Florist.  Bubble vases were filled with orchids and floated in the pool.  An led light in the base gave them a warm glow at night. 

 

Instead of table numbers, tables were named after the places the couple had visited together.

 

The guests enjoyed an ice bar and luuge that dispensed their favorite drinks, and a dessert bar featuring a variety of decadent sweets provided by Chantals par Avion.

 

At the end of the night, guests launched lighted paper lanterns (provided by Traxx Entertainment) into the night sky to close the evening.

Real Wedding: Marnie & Wade at Monarch Country Club

 

 

It was such a joy to help Marnie and Wade with plans for their wedding and rehearsal dinner.  I'd first met Marnie at a bridal show just before they'd gotten engaged.  When I saw her again at the next show a couple of months later, they were a happily engaged couple!  And the three of us connected quickly!  By the time we met up again at the third bridal show, we were all hugs and kisses as though we'd known each other for years.  They hired me to do their wedding month coordination and to offer vendor referrals and some expertise on details that they could do themselves.  They did a beautiful job on their blue and green, Mr. & Mrs. themed wedding, as you'll see in these pictures.  (All photos courtesy of Verola Photography & Video.)
